What To Expect From Me

Quality over Quantity

don't feel like you have to pad things out for me. as long as there's something to reply to, that's sufficient.

Ghosting is Fine

i don't get personal about ghosting or just letting a role play die, it happens all the time and some things just aren't meant to be or we don't get along. no hard feelings and you also don't have to stop talking to me because a role play didn't work out.

Paragraph or Tupperbox

i write single to multiple paragraphs, novella very rarely. tupperbox is fine, too. while my aesthetic is lowercase, i write in almost perfect grammar and punctuation when asked to do literary form.

Creative Works

you are allowed to draw my OCs with yours during the role play if you wish. treat me and my characters with respect and i will do the same for you.

i am allowed to not interact with you for any reason. this is very unlikely unless you're being repeatedly disrespectful to me after i've told you to stop.

No Rushing

i don't like rushing for replies. we reply when we feel like it, there are no time constraints.

Everything is an AU

i don't commit to canon when interacting with others' OCs. your canon is your canon, my canon is my canon.

General Tropes

Dynamic Plot and Characters

this is what i personally look for when writing a role play. fun things have to happen, and sometimes those fun things tug at your heart strings.

an everchanging, overarching plot is extremely important to me. it's what keeps me wanting to write the next post. i want this to be mutual.

World Building and Lore

i am not interested unless we work on the big picture and the grand scheme of things. individual character interactions don't keep me interested for long. i want to see how everything works together, i want to see how characters have meaningful relationships and conflict.

i don't care about having funny, sexy character interactions that ultimately mean nothing in the end except in very niche cases. i want to write a story that involves not only the cast, but the environment.

Well Developed Characters

as a result of the story we're writing, the characters have to develop as well. this is the only way i'll get attached to our characters. i find it really hard to care about a cast unless the characters take part in meaningful ways and do meaningful things.

Man vs Authority

love antiestablishment. i love it when the characters realize the reason why they're suffering is not themselves or each other, but rather because of their political environment or things not under their control. sometimes, the only way to fix something is to band together and be the change.

Man vs Environment

inanimate version of man vs authority, but sometimes there can be reasons as to why the environment is the way it is or the environment can shape the way the characters are. most of the time survival, but it's usually a complement to another conflict.

Humans/Humanoids

human(oids) are cool.

Neutral or Evil Alignments

good characters do not interest me as much but they can be well written. in my opinion, the best stories are when the main character does what is needed of them at that moment, and nothing more than that. any character who tries too hard to a hero is trying to fulfill something they're missing in their lives.

Toxic Relationships

not necessary, but they're underrated not explored enough.

Frenemies, Rivalry

sure, why not.

Character Development, Slow Burn Friendship

i want to see characters grow as people, sometimes over intensely long arcs.

No One Is Truly Irredeemable

i have a thing for redeeming villains. sometimes utterly reprehensible villains who in no way should be forgiven for what they've done. if they truly want to change and not let their past define them, they should be allowed to do that. not everyone will give them that chance, and that's just part of the consequences that come with committing such acts.

Pure Smut Focus

don't fucking ask me to role play if you just want to fuck my character and nothing else. if you've gotten to this point and still only want this, you clearly didn't read anything.

i'm tired of playing into your sexual fantasies when you provide me nothing in return. i can't stand people who only care for what they can get out of others' works. if you want to see this from me, try offering something else alongside it or try giving a shit about the story we're writing.

do i sound angry? that's because i am. i'm fed up being used as everyone's sexual release. i do not and will not thirst for your character no matter how sexy you try to make them to me - if i'm not attached or interested then i'm not. don't force me to be, i will not pretend to be interested anymore while you exploit me for your own gratification.

Domming Your Sub

as someone who regularly plays dominant characters, it's very tiring to be asked to be someone's yaoi seme fantasy over and over again. i'm not here to give you my characters to you to project your subby self insert onto. in fact, i will skip smut scenes altogether. i hate writing them.

Furry/Anthro or Quad

i just think furries/anthros and quads are boring. never got into them.

Art "Faceclaims"

whether it's AI "art" or someone else's art of their OC. both are theft, you will be blocked. i have no tolerance for this.

Some Settings I Prefer

Alternate Universes

we can build a universe together and throw ideas at a wall and see what sticks. it's preferable over having to read each other's lore pages.

Urban/Cities

they're just fun, especially when there's gang violence or some shady stuff going on. i also love slums settings.

(Semi) Modern Fantasy

i just think it would be much more fun if our characters had funny, cool powers and listen to a tapedeck at the same time.

Non-Time Relative Fantasy

doing research to make sure it's as accurate to the time era as possible is quite boring. just keep it vague and don't think about it too hard. it's more fun that way.

Dystopia or Apocalyptic

if it pushes the characters to their limits, i'm into it.

1800s/1900s Fantasy

i love that old timey stuff. the time eras of bioshock and fallout are pretty cool and so is don't starve.

High Fantasy or Medieval

situational, but i don't have as much interest in this kind of stuff as more modern setings.

Fandoms

sorry, i just have no interest in fandoms anymore.

D&D

no. i have tried this and i hated it. i don't like the idea of making my role playing into a board game nor will i be your DM and write everything for you. don't ask me to do this.
